The festival features a large bake sale that can “do your baking” just in time for Thanksgiving or fill your freezer with baked goods for Christmas and other holidays. Lefse, a well-known Norwegian delicacy, will be available, as well as breads, cookies and bars of all kinds including rosettes (see picture) fattigmand, sandbakkels, krumkakke,
(Norwegian special cookies), kringle, candies, cakes, and more.
There will be 11 vendor tables featuring imported items from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland -- including 2 new vendors. We will have local artisans with jewelry, art, woodworking, greeting cards, glassware, pewter, kitchen linens, aprons, Christmas decorations, plus books for children and adults, and much more.
Enjoy food and beverages for sale in our kitchen including Swedish heart waffles baked fresh with lingonberries and butter, polse (sausages) in lefse or a bun, rommegrot (cream pudding with butter and sugar), almond cake and beverages– always coffee!
We will have credit card availability this year in the bake sale and the kitchen but bring cash for most of the vendors.
NEW THIS YEAR: demonstrations of lefse baking and krumkakke making!
This is not a SACC Arizona event/ No registration required. See details at the main event page: https://www.sofn.com/organizer/overtro-fjell-lodge-6-153/
